Ferdinand Historical Society – Wollenmann House

The Ferdinand Historical Society is a group that has been dedicated to preserving the historical integrity of the town of Ferdinand for decades through records, photographs, memorabilia, etc. They were looking to update their look for the modern age, but wanted to keep that traditional personality to their identity. This project was completed in house at Dubois-Spencer Counties Publishing.

This concept was a part of a 3-concept project – each idea having its own unique identity while also providing a substantial option for the society to preview. This concept took inspiration from the famous Wollenmann House – a famously eclectic historical home built by Dr. Alois Wollenmann in 1903, and that has been preserved thoughtfully through 3 generations. The home – which is on the National Register of Historic Places, now serves as a notable destination for local tourism, as well as boasting a popular bistro ran straight out of the home itself.
